BudgetQuest does not collect your data. There are no analytics trackers, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services, and no servers of ours that ever see your financial information. Everything you enter stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage that we cannot access.
Expenses, budgets, savings goals, debts, lessons progress, and game progress (XP, levels, streaks, achievements) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
If you are signed into iCloud, your BudgetQuest data syncs through your private CloudKit database. This data is tied to your Apple ID, encrypted in transit, and readable only by you. VertexLab Solutions has no ability to read, query, or export your private database.
BudgetQuest offers an optional subscription and a one-time purchase called BudgetQuest Pro. All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, card numbers, or billing address. The app checks your purchase entitlement locally using Apple's StoreKit framework; no purchase information is transmitted to us. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. If you cancel, all of your data and the free features remain fully available.
Reminders (daily quests, weekly reviews, payday) are scheduled locally on your device. They are optional, configurable in the app, and never contain your balances or amounts.
If you enable App Lock, authentication is performed entirely by iOS using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. BudgetQuest never receives or stores biometric data.
You can export your records as CSV at any time (Profile → Data → Export as CSV) and permanently delete all data on your device with Profile → Data → Clear All Data. Deleting the app removes its local data; iCloud data can be removed via Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
BudgetQuest is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
If our data practices ever change (for example, if optional analytics were introduced), this policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated first, and any such feature would be disclosed clearly and require your consent.
