QuitTrack has no accounts and no sign-up. Your quit history, journal entries, cravings, photos and your personal reasons are stored on your device, and we cannot read them. Two optional features send limited data off your device, and both are described in full below.
Everything you enter — habits, quit dates, costs, check-ins, cravings, triggers, journal entries, letters to yourself, photos, and your personal “why”. If you enable iCloud sync, this data syncs through your own Apple account. We do not operate a server that stores it and we have no ability to access it.
If you send a message to the AI Coach, QuitTrack transmits your message, the recent conversation in that chat, and a short context summary — the habit you are quitting, days quit, money saved, your logged trigger categories, craving counts, and your saved motivation note — so that the coach can give a useful answer.
This is sent to our server, which forwards it to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a reply. No name, email address, account or device identifier is attached to the request. As with any internet service, your IP address is visible to these providers in the course of delivering the request.
If you never open the AI Coach, none of this is ever sent.
To understand which parts of the app actually help, we record counts of anonymous events — for example “onboarding finished” or “craving rescue completed” — with no identifier attached and no content included.
We never transmit your journal text, your reasons for quitting, your photos, or the name of a custom habit. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Anonymous Usage Counts.
If you enable Body Recovery, QuitTrack reads selected Health metrics on your device to show before-and-after comparisons, and writes a Mindful Session when you complete a breathing exercise. This Health data is never transmitted off your device.
QuitTrack is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
You can export or back up your data at any time from Settings. Deleting the app removes the data held on your device. To ask a question about this policy or about your data, contact us at [email protected].
