CrewDay is built to be private by architecture: it is an offline-first app, we operate no servers for it, and we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data.

Data stored on your device

Everything you enter in CrewDay — projects, daily logs, crew names and hours, notes, photos, your company profile and logo — is stored locally on your iPhone (and in your personal iCloud backup if you have device backups enabled). It never reaches us. Your reports leave your device only when you choose to share a PDF, and then only to the recipient you pick.

Permissions and how they're used

• Location — used at the moment you tap the weather auto-fill button, to fetch current conditions for your jobsite from Apple Weather (Apple's WeatherKit service). Your location is not stored by us and no location history is kept.
• Microphone & speech recognition — used so you can dictate log entries. Dictation uses Apple's on-device speech recognition where available; audio is not stored and is never sent to us.
• Camera & photo library — used to attach jobsite photos to your reports. Photos stay in the app's local storage.
• Notifications — used only for the end-of-day log reminder you can turn on or off in Settings.

Subscriptions

CrewDay Pro is billed through your Apple account. Payment is processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Voice dictation and the Magic Minute

Per-section dictation uses Apple's on-device speech recognition — audio never leaves your phone. If you use the Magic Minute, the text transcript of what you said (never the audio) is sent over an encrypted connection to our processing service, converted into report fields, and immediately discarded. Transcripts are not stored, logged, or used for anything else.

Analytics and tracking

The CrewDay app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no trackers.

Children

CrewDay is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update will be posted at this address with a new date.
