Support
DOT Compliance Desk by VertexLab Solutions LLC
Contact us
Email support@vertexlabsolutions.com. Tell us the mobile number you sign in with and your USDOT number, and what you were doing when the problem happened.
We answer questions about the app. We can't answer questions about what the rules require of your company, and we don't take phone calls.
Signing in
- There is no password. You sign in with a six-digit code we text to your mobile number.
- The code didn't arrive. Wait a minute before asking again. If you ever replied STOP to one of our texts, the network blocks our codes too: text START to the number we message you from, then try again.
- I have a new phone. Install the app and sign in with the same number. Your records are with us, not on the phone.
- I have a new number. Email us from the address above. We will need to confirm who you are.
Adding documents
- Take a photo from the Documents tab, or from the item that is asking for the document.
- Use a photo you already have with the Photos button on the same screen. The app sees only the photos you choose.
- Say what it is, whose it is, and the date on it. The app counts from the date you enter. Nobody at DOT Compliance Desk reads or checks the document.
- The app says a page can't be read. Remove that page or take it again with more light, holding the phone a little further back so the whole page is in view.
- I entered the wrong date. On the Documents tab, tap Remove on that document, then add it again with the right date. Removing it deletes the photo and can't be undone.
- Reminders. The app asks once whether it may send notifications. If you said no, switch them on in iPhone Settings, under Notifications, then Carrier Desk. Reminders come at 60, 30, 7 and 1 days before a date.
- The app won't accept my date. It refuses a date that cannot be right, such as a medical certificate running more than 24 months. Check the year.
Filings
- We don't file anything for you. You file your MCS-150 update and your UCR registration with the agency yourself.
- To stop the reminder, add the confirmation or receipt in the app. For an MCS-150, enter the date you filed. For a UCR receipt, choose the year the registration is for.
People on your account
- To add someone, the owner opens Account, then People on this account, then Add someone, and enters their mobile number.
- We do not text the person you add. Ask them to install the app and sign in with that number. They will be asked whether to join.
- To remove someone, use the same screen. They are signed out straight away.
Plans and billing
- No plan is on sale at present. The app can be used without one.
- If you have a plan, it is billed by Apple, to your Apple account. We never see your card.
- To cancel or change a plan, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- To restore a plan on a new phone, open Account, then Your plan, then Restore Purchases.
Deleting your account
- In the app: Account, then Delete account. Only the account owner can do this.
- You are signed out at once. Your records are deleted 30 days later, unless you sign in and choose Keep my account.
- Download your records first. Federal rules require a carrier to keep many of them.
- Deleting your account does not cancel a plan. Cancel it in your Apple account.
If you are a driver
If a carrier you drive or drove for keeps your records with us, you can ask to see them or to have a mistake corrected. Email us and tell us which carrier. We may need to confirm who you are.
